Customs Administration of the Czech Republic

Information and indicative prices for customs clearance in the Czech Republic.

We provide customs services only as part of our transport services. We do not provide customs services unless we provide the shipping.

Upon request, we provide export and import customs clearance in the Czech Republic for each shipment, through our contracted customs declarants. Before the first customs clearance, you only need to conclude a contract with us for representation in customs proceedings

Approximate prices for customs clearance in the Czech Republic are listed in the price list when calculating the shipping:

Export from the Czech Republic

  • standard export customs clearance with SAD
  • issue of a Proof of Origin EUR.1
(as far as requested by the customer in writing while ordering)

Import into the Czech Republic

  • standard import customs clearance with SAD
(including a guarantee for any customs debt incurred; this price may increase individually in cases of multi-item SADs or when a high amount of customs debt is secured).

Before the first customs clearance (export or import), you need to fill in a Power of Attorney for customs representation; our customs declarants will complete it with you and send to you for signing.

Copies of the following documents must be sent in advance:

  • proof of assignment of a Customs Registration Number (EORI) (details see here)
  • extract from the Commercial Register (Trade Certificate)
  • VAT number certificate
  • bank account number
  • name of authorised person signing the power of attorney
  • telephone and e-mail contact

Recommendation:

  • Invoicing outside the EU, e.g. Switzerland, must be invoiced without VAT.
  • When issuing an invoice up to EUR 6,000 to a buyer outside the EU, e.g. to Switzerland, a so-called “PREFERENTIAL DECLARATION of Origin of Goods” (PDF) must be stated on the invoice, so that the buyer pays no or only a reduced CUSTOMS DUTY in Switzerland, and only the VAT. This applies to products made in Europe.
  • This declaration must be stated "exactly" according to the template (see above), including the necessary signature and legible name, otherwise the Swiss customs authorities may not recognize the preference.
  • The declaration may only be written in one language, either the seller's or the buyer's country. This means that in almost all cases, a declaration in the Czech language will suffice.
  • If the invoice exceeds EUR 6,000, a EUR.1 customs document must be issued, wherein the customs authority will confirm the goods' origin. For detailed information, please contact our customs declaration office (see Contacts).
  • ATTENTION: If the invoice is issued in a currency other than EUR, the applicable limits for other currencies are set 1-2 times a year by the customs authorities, and such "value limits" therefore need to be monitored on their website www.celnisprava.cz

Swiss Customs Administration

Information and indicative prices for customs clearance in Switzerland.

We provide customs services only as part of our transport services. We do not provide customs services unless we provide the shipping.

In Switzerland, we provide customs clearance through our customs partners at border crossings.

  • CH-Thayngen (CH002471) / D-Bietingen (DE004101)
  • CH-St. Margrethen da Au (CH003081) / A-Wolfurt (AT930101)

When importing goods into Switzerland, the customs clearance costs are generally recharged to the consignee of the shipment, unless specified otherwise in the general delivery terms and conditions (e.g. GDTC).

Approximate prices for customs clearance in the Czech Republic are set in our Price List when calculating the shipping costs:

Import into Switzerland

  • import customs clearance at the border

Export from Switzerland

  • transit document T1
  • export customs document AD
  • issue of a Proof of Origin EUR.1

When exporting goods from Switzerland, a T1 transit document to the Czech Republic is usually issued for the goods at a uniform price. If the consignor has not arranged for export customs clearance in Switzerland, this is also handled by our partner at the border, or a proof of origin EUR.1 if the customer requests so in writing in the purchase order.
